After Easter It'll be Easier

So, I went back to Uni after Easter; I wasn't completely better but I felt I had to go back. It wasn't as if I had loads of classes. I just had to meet with my tutor - for which I was extremely anxious about - and do my last essay.

I had the meeting, and silly me, I cried. I was so scared I was going to get kicked off the course because I have had some trouble (mostly on shoot). I did manage to clear things up; I told her that my written work hasn't had anything lower than a C and I try really hard in Pre-Production. I also showed her my passion for film and what I want to specialise in (super excited about that).

Now, the essay.... I kept putting it off; my brain doesn't seem  to let me work if the deadline is too far in the future - I just can't focus. I did get the essay done in a matter of hours, 3 days before the deadline. In fact, I even got interested in it. The research was very boring until I found the information relating to my subject.

I had to read Pam Cook's Review of Bram Stoker's Dracula (1992) and choose one thread of it. Then I had to watch previous Dracula films to write about how it pays homage to them and how it differentiates itself from them. I also had to relate theories on remakes and homages.

I choose to focus on the sexual content in it. Even though the sexual content in the previous Dracula films aren't as explicit they still had sexual content within them that could've been seen as risqué at the time. (sorry I'm getting distracted by the essay thingy)

I had very little classes so I got very bored, but for some reason I didn't see an awful lot of my friends :S very peculiar. I did get to spend some time with my flatmates :) which was nice because I won't be living with most of them next year.

Last week I did have a few very bad days. I went horribly floopy - so much so I couldn't walk to the bathroom with is 5 steps from my bed. (how bad is that!) My flat mate Charlotte (who is one of my closest friends now) and her boyfriend were nice enough to keep an eye on me when my carer left; they stayed in my room and watched a movie with me until I zonked out.

I finished uni last monday so I am now on my summer break until mid-September.

I have some fluffy (fluffy means happy, good, nice) stuff coming up so I shall keep you updated.

Speak soon

*huggle* for everyone!!!
